Sharon Hedman. The show will be on exhibit from June 30 -July 24, 2022.
Sharon has always enjoyed creating. She started learning basics and really enjoying exploration of different media in High School with Artist/Teacher Doug Oliver.
“I started painting regularly in High School and dropped away as life changed. Moving to Lompoc inspired me, the flowers, beaches, and of course slogan of “Valley of Arts and Flowers” was just inspirational to me. I’ve always wanted to be an artist who could have art in this gallery, so this experience is a bucket list item for me! I started enjoying painting as a form of stress relief and continue to enjoy it in that way.
I’ve chosen to show the Coastal Collection because the Central Coast and other coastal areas around the country have given me many hours of joy and peace as I sink my toes in the sand, feel the warmth on my skin and breathe the air that clears my soul. I hope you enjoy letting your imagination wander, feel the sun on your skin and the sand in your toes as you see at my work.”
Please come by and check out the show and meet the artist at her reception on July 10 from 3 to 5pm. The Cypress Gallery is at 119 East Cypress Avenue, Lompoc, across from the Museum.
