LVAA Art Scholarship Program

Each year the LVAA awards art scholarships to deserving students.

The LVAA Scholarship Program has been established in memory of deceased members of the LVAA. The recipients of the scholarships under this program will be those who have exerted energy, effort and dedication in reaching their educational goals.

The qualifications for applicants are as follows:

  1. Be a graduating senior who plans to continue their education in the Visual Arts. A $500 award may be given to a student enrolled at Lompoc High School, a student enrolled at Cabrillo High School and for a student enrolled at Maple High School. Students must have been enrolled for the entire year.

  2. Have a grade point average of 2.5 overall with a 3.0 in art coursework.

  3. Have demonstrated satisfactory citizenship and service to the school and community.

  4. Have applied to a College, University or a recognized visual arts school. Please send a copy of your acceptance letter when you've been notified by the school you plan to attend.

  5. Have completed an Application Form.

  6. Have included a Letter of Reference from an administrator, teacher, or visual arts instructor, who can give pertinent information regarding your service, character, and ability.

  7. Have included a transcript of records.

The winner will receive an Award certificate at the Senior Awards Program and the $500 will be given to the student after he or she shows proof of enrollment in classes.
